My father, Jimmy Lockhart Sr., was a well-known and respected Gospel musician in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a current member of First Baptist Kingston. He also played for the 46th St Baptist Church Eastlake, St. James Missionary Baptist Church, First Baptist Roosevelt City, and Beulah Baptist Church Bessemer, just to name a few. He dedicated his life to the church. He loved playing the keyboard and organ and was very good. He started playing around the age of 9 years old and played through his pain until his body just would not allow it, and then still tried to play.

Unfortunately, we were not prepared financially for his homegoing celebration. It would mean a lot to fulfill his last wishes. Any donations would be more than appreciated. No amount is too small.
