In Memory of Jessica Morton

Hi, we are close friends, families, and teammates of Jessica Morton. We are coming together to honor her legacy and support her family during this tough time. We all have experienced life with Jessica during one or more chapters of her life, and it has rocked everyone to their core to have to accept that she is no longer here with us physically.

As you can see from the video, Jessica LOVED basketball! We all know she was a phenomenal and dominant athlete. But she was more than a basketball player. Jessica was kind-hearted, witty, and genuine, and we all know she had us doubled over with laughter because of her youthful and silly nature and contagious memorable laugh. Jessica defied all the odds against her and truly accomplished something that many basketball lovers hope to attain, from JobCorps Atheltic Association (TurnerJC), JUCO at Gulf Coast State, to playing at an elite D1 institution (WVU) in a highly competitive conference BIG 12. Her determination, focus, desire, and love for basketball opened up so many opportunities for her, and we are HELLA PROUD that she seized every moment of it! You ran the race God set for you as much as you could! RIP Jessica!

Jessica leaves behind 4 beautiful children who she loved dearly, twin boys (4y Ja'Mar and Ja'Mir), and twin girls (14m Jamirah and Jamyrah), a host of cousins, aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters, her mother, and her father. The family has expressed that they prefer not to do GoFundMe for memorial services; however, we (friends and teammates) are inclined to garner support for Jessica Morton and her children during this difficult time. Any amount you choose to give will be appreciated and will go directly to the family!
