Help Us Honor Imenor’s Memory

Hi, my name is Airle, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. My beloved mom, Imenor Salazar, a mother to two amazing woman and wife to amazing husband, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2024, leaving our family heartbroken. She was a kind, selfless, and loving soul who always put others before herself.

Imenor’s story:
Our mom was more than just a fighter—she was a light in our lives and the lives of everyone she met. She faced every challenge with unwavering courage, grace, and an unshakable faith in the goodness of life. She battled cancer for three and a half years, refusing to let it define her or diminish her love for her family.

Diagnosed with colon cancer that had metastasized to her liver, with prayers and faith she beat the odds in 2022 when she overcame colon cancer, and in early 2023, she conquered liver cancer as well. For almost seven months, she enjoyed a beautiful recovery, filling our home with joy, laughter, and her unyielding optimism.

In 2024, her journey took another difficult turn when she developed lung cancer. She fought it with every ounce of strength, determined to hold onto the life she loved so dearly. On December 13, she was brought to the hospital, where a scan revealed what none of us had known—several brain tumors that had started to bleed. Everyone had been focused on her lungs including the doctors, and the brain tumors had gone undetected.

Even in her final moments, she remained serene and selfless. Her last words were, “I’m going to take a nap.” Her quiet courage and endless love will stay with us forever.

About Imenor:
Imenor was the embodiment of kindness and generosity. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant and patient care technician. Her compassion and selflessness inspired both of her daughters, who followed in her footsteps to become nurses—a legacy she was deeply proud of.

She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. She always put others before herself, no matter the circumstances. Her laugh could brighten the darkest days, and her warm hugs could heal any hurt. She was not just a mother but also a mentor, a confidant, and a best friend to those closest to her.

Imenor’s life was deeply rooted in her faith and belief in God. Through every challenge, she drew strength from her unwavering trust in Him. She often reminded us to lean on our faith during difficult times and believed that God had a purpose for everything, even when we couldn’t see it. She prayed fervently for her family and friends, finding peace and solace in her connection with God. Her faith was a source of hope, guiding her through the most challenging moments of her life.

She taught us not only how to love and care for others but also how to trust in God’s plan with grace and humility. Imenor’s life was a testament to her enduring faith, which inspired everyone around her and gave her the courage to face every battle with unwavering strength.

She taught us the meaning of resilience and unconditional love. Even in her hardest battles, she never lost her gentle spirit or her ability to inspire those around her. She was a true example of strength and compassion—a rare and beautiful soul who touched countless lives.

How you can help:
As we try to come to terms with this immense loss, we want to give her the beautiful farewell she deserves. Unfortunately, the funeral costs are beyond what we can manage on our own, so I am humbly asking for your support to help cover some of these expenses.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us honor her memory and celebrate the life of an incredible woman who left an indelible mark on the world. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign means the world to me and my family.

Thank you for your kindness and for helping us through this challenging time.
