Honor Felipas Final Wish: Help Bring Her Home to Nayarit

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Felipa Ruiz, a woman warrior who fought liver cancer with courage until her final breath right before dawn on March 8th. Felipa was born in Chilapa, Nayarit, on July 21st, 1961. She was the heart of our family—a matriarch who opened her home and arms to generations of loved ones. For years, her doors welcomed young adults needing guidance, families seeking a fresh start, and grandchildren who adored her warmth. Her greatest dream was to return to her cherished hometown, Chilapa, to see her grandchildren play where she once did. Sadly, cancer took her before this dream could come true.

We humbly ask for your help to honor her final wish: to rest beside her father in Chilapa, Nayarit, reunited with the land and siblings she longed to see. We also seek to alleviate the financial burden of her medical battles, including emergency room trips and unpaid bills from her fight with cancer.

Repatriation Costs - Permits, flight, transportation from LA to Guadalajara and Guadalajara to Chilapa, Nayarit.

Services in Both Countries - Viewing in LA for loved ones who are unable to travel, casket, headstone, services in Chilapa, Nayarit.

Unforeseen Expenses - Outstanding medical bills from her fight with cancer.

Mi Ama's roots in Chilapa run deep. Returning her to the soil where her father rests and where her siblings still live is a sacred act of love—one that reflects her lifelong devotion to family. By bringing her home, we fulfill her dream of uniting our family across borders, even in grief.
