Since birth Zekee has been the best friend and cousin to my great-granddaughter, Aiyanna. They were only months apart.
It is with a heavy heart that I share that Ezekiel passed away Nov 7th. He fought courageously for eight years, and though he is now with Jesus, the family is devastated.
From the moment he was born, Ezekiel faced tremendous challenges. He underwent three heart surgeries immediately after birth and was placed on the transplant list, waiting for a new heart. Despite all the prayers and every effort made, complications prevented him from ever receiving the surgery he desperately needed.
For eight precious years, his parents did everything they could to give him a life filled with love, joy, and as much normalcy as possible between procedures, illnesses, and hospital stays. They rarely left his side. His three older siblings shared in the sacrifice and carried the emotional weight right alongside their parents. The emotional, physical, and financial toll has been more than most families could bear.
Tomorrow is the family’s ninth day of a novena, praying the rosary together as they seek comfort and strength. But in the midst of their grief, they are facing another painful burden — they do not have the funds to bury their son. They have no idea how they will give him the proper farewell he deserves.
This is where I am humbly asking for help.
If you feel led, please pray for this family. And if you are able, any amount — even $5 — would mean the world. If everyone gave a little, it would ease a tremendous weight from their shoulders and allow them to lay their precious boy to rest with dignity, while also giving them some cushion after years of hardship.
I AM PUTTING A WEEK OUR FOR THE FUNDRAISER TO END, HOWEVER THERE IS NOT A DATE YET FOR SERVICES. PLEASE keep the family in your prayers. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for caring, and for being the kind of people who show love in action. Ezekiel is now in the arms of Jesus. Glory to God for his life. May the Lord surround his family with comfort and peace.
With love and gratitude,
Sandra
