Support the Young Family in Honoring Edward’s Legacy
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Edward Young, on December 29th, 2024, after a courageous nine-month battle with coccidioidomycosis ( Valley Fever). Surrounded by family in his final moments, Edward’s strength shone brightly even in his last days.
Edward was a remarkable man who lived a life of resilience and devotion. A liver transplant recipient in 2010, he exceeded the 10-year life expectancy often given to transplant recipients, defying odds as a true fighter and survivor. His life was a testament to perseverance and unwavering love for those around him.
A proud UC Davis alumnus and lifelong Californian, Edward’s roots ran deep in his community. He was a constant source of support for friends and family, even serving as a caregiver for his elderly in-laws until he was hospitalized. His selfless spirit and boundless love touched everyone he met.
Edward leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and strength. As we navigate this challenging time, we are asking for your support to cover funeral expenses, hospital bills, and other unforeseen costs. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help honor Edward’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time. Edward’s love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
