Honor Edward "Lil Mac" Gaye: A Life Taken Too Soon

Donation protected
On the night of Tuesday, June 17, 2025, tragedy struck in Chesapeake when a senseless accident claimed the life of our beloved father, son, brother, cousin, and friend, Edward "Lil Mac" Gaye. At just 52, he was taken from us far too soon due to a devastating crash on Military Highway.

According to Chesapeake Police, a van traveling westbound struck a vehicle that had stopped on the shoulder of the road. Edward was outside of that vehicle at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Victoria Pipkin, has since been charged with DUI Manslaughter.

This heartbreaking and preventable incident has left our family shattered. We are now faced with the unimaginable task of laying Lil Mac, as we affectionately call him, to rest, while also navigating the emotional and financial weight of this loss. Lil Mac was a bright light, always full of life, laughter, and love, and now that light has been extinguished far too soon.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, support for our grieving family, and any unexpected costs that may arise in the coming weeks. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to the family to ease this burden.

Please keep our family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We appreciate your support more than words can express.

Thank You,
The Boston Family
