On Sunday, September 28th, we lost a dear friend and longtime member of our Maple Tree Café family, Dwight Watson, to a senseless act of violence.
Dwight was more than an employee — he was a kind spirit who brought warmth and laughter to everyone he worked with. A proud Hartford native, Dwight was a beloved son to Vandite and Marva and a devoted father to Kenya and Milan, whom he cherished deeply.
While nothing can ease the heartbreak of losing Dwight, we want to come together as a community to support his children and family during this unimaginably difficult time.
