Honor Dennis Lamar Joseph "Joe" Final Wish

Hello,

My name is Katherine Jones. I am writing this in hopes to raise funds for my Granddad, Dennis Lamar Joseph or "Joe" funeral costs due to his unexpected passing on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025. Granddad was born and raised in Alice,Texas but has lived all over the country and has explored places like London and Hong Kong in his younger years. He would always reminisce on his travels, telling us stories about being served fish whole in Hong Kong with the head still attached. Granddad was always the type of man to joke around, make people laugh, or leave a room with new friends. He thrived at being a people person, which helped him become the "Cookie Man" at the Calle Barcelona Panera Bread location he worked at for many years. Many customers and employees were always thrilled to see him doing what he does best by socializing and giving out sweet treats. He was even recognized for his hard work in one of their own news articles. Granddad found joy in the simplest things, such as his dog Marley licking his bald head and it tickling or watching a Longhorns game with a bowl of popcorn. "Hook 'em Horns!" He was 83 years young when he passed. Granddad was like a cat and had nine lives, surviving things most people wouldn't. From being struck by lightning, surviving multiple heart attacks, being in severe car accidents, or even almost being hit by an airplane. No matter what life threw at him, he was always happy and a kid at heart. He knew the value of family and loving everyone around you. Granddad did many things in his lifetime, but the one thing he was most proud of was being there for his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. It was his last wish to be buried next to his parents in Texas and we hope to be able to honor his final wish. Any amount donated to go to his funeral costs and family expenses is greatly appreciated. We know he was loved by many and will be missed deeply. Date/Time/Location for his memorial service has yet to be determined.
