The heartbreaking loss of Debbie Smith has devastated all those who knew and loved her; no one more so than her husband of almost 20 years, Josh, and the joy of her life, her son, Kaiden. The Smith family exemplifies public service. Debbie spent her career as a special education teacher and Josh works as a public school teacher and has also volunteered as a coach for multiple community sports teams. Debbie and Josh dedicated their lives to helping children achieve their greatest potentials, in professions that are not always valued or rewarded proportionally. The Smiths have given so much to so many, and now we have an opportunity to show our gratitude and support. Debbie's extremely sudden loss has left a void as her only child prepares to go to college next year. One thing we can do to ease their stress and burden is to generously contribute.

Kaiden is an exceptional young man. He has spent this summer working at Camp Sunrise, a camp that serves children facing cancer, after being inspired when he previously attended with his cousins, the Rudermans. He’s a distinguished student, a gifted athlete, and a hard-working and kind-hearted person who embodies Debbie’s legacy. Let’s ensure he and Josh feel the love of the North Shore community and that Kaiden's path is free from any obstacles to his limitless potential.
