My name is Elizabeth Ferris, and I am David’s daughter.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that my father, David Lewis Thorson, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the age of 55. He was a Marine Corps veteran, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a man who could make anyone laugh and feel welcome. Anyone who met him knew he had a generous heart — he would give the shirt off his back and always made people feel seen and valued, no matter how brief the encounter.

I am raising funds to help my mom and family cover my father’s funeral and memorial expenses. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward honoring his life and giving him the farewell he deserves. Your support means the world to us and helps us focus on remembering the love, laughter, and joy he brought into all our lives.
