My dad, David Hoover, was a proud veteran who served three tours in Iraq. He loved everyone and everything, always giving 150% to make others happy. David was always happy, constantly laughing, and making jokes. He was there to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed, day or night. He would take less just so his family could have more. David was an amazing person and an even better dad, and his kindness touched everyone who knew him.

David lived life with a few, but very important rules: 1. Family first, always. 2. Put all of your effort into everything you do. 3. Never start a fight, but always finish it. 4. Never give up, always keep trying. 5. Be your best self as much as possible. 6. Be open-minded. 7. Lead life with love and no regrets. 8. Don't care about what others think or say about you. 9. Love as much as possible. These rules shaped the way he lived and the way he loved his family and friends. He inspired everyone around him to be better, to love harder, and to never give up.

Recently, our family was faced with the heartbreaking news that the funeral home requires payment within a few days for the most affordable cremation and private ceremony bundle. We want to see him and prepare for him to be cremated and put to rest, but the funeral home does not offer payment plans, and we cannot see him until we pay the full amount. This has made an already difficult time even more stressful for our family.

These funds will help us see his body and say one last goodbye. While they do not cover the costs of urns or sentimental gifts we would like to buy, they do cover what we need to give him a proper and honorable service.
