Help Us Lay DaRicco Weir to Rest

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved 17-year-old, DaRicco Weir affectionately known as “Moo Moo” & “Nugg”. Due to gun violence he taken from us on July 20th while working hard to beautify the community in which he loved.

DaRicco was a bright, compassionate, and a hard-working young soul with so much promise. His smile could light up a room, and his heart was full of kindness. He stepped up to lovingly care for his grandmother during her final months—a role he took on with maturity far beyond his years. Their bond was unbreakable and losing them both just five months apart has left our family deeply heartbroken.

Even while navigating grief and the responsibilities of caregiving, DaRicco started his own small lawn care business. He offered his services to neighbors at low prices. His priority was not to earn money, but to help the people in his community that he loved. He would also employ young kids from the neighborhood to assist him with his services given them a sense of responsibility and pride . That was just who he was—always willing to help, always thinking of others before himself. He brought joy and love to everyone who knew him.

Our family is devastated by this sudden loss and is now facing the unimaginable task of planning his funeral and memorial services. We are humbly asking for your support to help us cover these expenses, and to give DaRicco the farewell he deserves. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to us during this time of sorrow.
