I’m reaching out to you all today to share a heartfelt request on behalf of my sister, Daniela Martinez.

With a heavy heart, I never imagined I would be writing this. Losing my sister has been incredibly painful. Daniela faced many challenges throughout her life, having been born with health issues and a disability. She battled through sickness and surgeries, but her spirit never dimmed. She was truly a beautiful soul, always brightening every room with her infectious laughter, warmth, and boundless kindness. Daniela was deeply loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

On March 20th, 2025, our beloved Daniela passed away. The last two years were particularly tough for her, as she battled pneumonia starting in December 2022. She fought valiantly and seemed to bounce back time and again. However, in January 2025, she fell ill once more and required a portable oxygen tank, yet she remained hopeful. Tragically, on March 19th, she was admitted to the ICU, where her condition worsened. She fought bravely, but sadly, she gained her wings that day. Now, she is at peace and reunited with our dad.

Daniela was not only a daughter and sister but also an aunt, cousin, granddaughter, and friend. Her passing was unexpected and left us all in shock. I am now reaching out to family, friends, and loved ones to help us honor her memory with a beautiful mass service, a celebration of her extraordinary life, and a burial beside her father, just as she would have wanted. Every contribution, no matter how small, and every share of this message means the world to us.

Me dirijo a todos ustedes hoy para compartir una sincera petición en nombre de mi hermana, Daniela Martínez.

Con gran pesar, nunca imaginé que estaría escribiendo esto. Perder a mi hermana ha sido increíblemente doloroso. Daniela enfrentó muchos desafíos a lo largo de su vida, habiendo nacido con problemas de salud y una discapacidad. Luchó contra la enfermedad y se sometió cirugías, pero su espíritu nunca se apagó. Era una persona verdaderamente hermosa, siempre iluminando cada habitación con su risa contagiosa, calidez y bondad infinita. Daniela fue profundamente querida por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

El 20 de marzo de 2025, nuestra querida Daniela falleció. Los últimos dos años fueron particularmente duros para ella, ya que luchó contra una neumonía que comenzó en diciembre de 2022. Luchó con valentía y pareció recuperarse una y otra vez. Sin embargo, en enero de 2025, enfermó de nuevo y necesitó un tanque de oxígeno portátil, pero mantuvo la esperanza. Trágicamente, el 19 de marzo, ingresó en la UCI, donde su estado empeoró. Luchó con valentía, pero lamentablemente, ese día ganó sus alas. Ahora está en paz y se reunió con nuestro padre.

Daniela no solo era hija y hermana, sino también tía, prima, nieta y amiga. Su fallecimiento fue inesperado y nos dejó a todos en shock. Ahora me dirijo a familiares, amigos y seres queridos para que nos ayuden a honrar su memoria con una hermosa misa, una celebración de su extraordinaria vida y un entierro junto a su padre, tal como ella lo hubiera deseado. Cada contribución, por pequeña que sea, y cada vez que compartan este mensaje significan muchísimo para nosotros.
