My name is Nestor Nieves, brother to the late Daniel Nieves. Monday, July 7th will mark one year since my brother passed away. We still have his ashes in our house because we were not ready to part with them yet, and we do not have the money saved up to put his ashes in the cemetery. We are saving up to put my brother Daniel Nieves in his final resting place, but that will take time.

This GoFundMe is about what my mom is doing to honor my brother's memory. She is helping children with autism and other special needs in her birth town in Tlahualilo, Mexico, by bringing school supplies, new TVs, and the biggest thing she is fundraising for right now is buying a van that a school in her hometown needs. This is important to her because this is her way to honor my brother's memory and help others with special needs like my brother. The flyer attached is an in-person fundraiser to raise money to buy a van and other supplies. The goal is to raise $5000 with both the in-person fundraisers and this new GoFundMe.

We will drive to Tlahualilo, Mexico starting Saturday, July 19th and expect to get there on Sunday, July 20th. My mom will take as many supplies as possible in her car, but whatever does not fit in her car we will need to buy over there, which includes the van we are fundraising for.
