On Saturday, August 9, 2025, our father Craig Hamilton passed away, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was a fighter through and through, showing remarkable strength and resilience after surviving a life-threatening brain aneurysm on November 5, 2005. Following his aneurysm in 2005, our father lost most of his hearing, yet he never let it stop him from connecting with and loving those around him. Our father was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, proudly cheering them on through every season, win or lose, and finding pure joy in the crack of the bat and the energy of the game. He also had a deep admiration for Bruce Lee, not only enjoying his films but also embracing his philosophy of discipline, perseverance, and strength—values my dad carried with him throughout his life. Over the years, he faced other challenges, including congestive heart failure, two strokes, which led to aphasia, and a few serious falls that injured his hip, yet he never let these struggles dim his spirit. His courage, determination, and quiet perseverance inspired everyone who knew him. In his final moments, he was embraced by his loved ones, leaving this world wrapped in the warmth and comfort of family. Our father was unable to obtain life insurance because of his ongoing health conditions, which made it difficult for him to qualify for coverage. If you feel moved to help, any donation—no matter the amount—would be deeply appreciated as we honor his memory, and celebrate his life.
