After seven years of chemotherapy, multiple rounds of radiation, and the relentless battle that comes with fighting metastatic breast cancer, our beloved mother and Queen, Maria del Socorro Rodriguez Nava—affectionately known as Coco, Coquito, Soco, and Doña Coco—took her final breath at 4:40 PM on March 4, 2025, at the age of 54.

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, she defied expectations from the very start. When presented with the devastating news, she didn’t shed a single tear at hearing the "C" word. She knew in her heart she would be okay and never feared the difficult road ahead. Her only concern was having more time with her children and husband, and she was willing to endure anything for that chance. She met every obstacle with strength, never backing down—a true warrior in every sense of the word.

Coco was selfless, loving, and devoted, always committed to helping others in any way she could. She dedicated her life to caring for children, embracing them as part of our family. Wherever our mother went, love followed in its purest form. She welcomed everyone into our home with open arms, ensuring they felt safe, comfortable, and, most importantly, never left with an empty stomach. She was a beacon of light and hope, even in her final moments.

Coco’s dying wish was to be reunited with her mother in Villa Unión, Durango. In honor of her wish, her children—Claudia, Noema, Biridiana, and Luis—are asking for support on behalf of their father to help lay their mother to rest.

Coco era bondadosa, amorosa y entregada, siempre comprometida a ayudar a los demás en cualquier forma posible. Dedicó su vida al cuidado de los niños, acceptandolos como parte de nuestra familia. Dondequiera que nuestra madre estuviera, el amor la seguía en su forma más pura. Recibía a todos en nuestro hogar con los brazos abiertos, asegurándose de que se sintieran seguros, cómodos y, lo más importante, que nunca se fueran con el estómago vacío. Fue un faro de luz y esperanza, incluso en sus últimos momentos.

El último deseo de Coco fue reunirse con su madre en Villa Unión, Durango. En honor a su deseo, sus hijos—Claudia, Noema, Biridiana y Luis—están pidiendo apoyo en nombre de su padre para ayudar a darle el descanso que ella merece.
