Calvin Dickerson (CK) was a beloved member of Social Circle, GA, and a proud World War II veteran. CK served in the Army as a rifleman stationed in Germany, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his bravery. He was known for his positive spirit, never raising his voice except to laugh, and for the lasting friendships he made throughout his life. CK loved to fish and hunt, always surrounded by friends who enjoyed his company. He often shared his secret to a long life: don’t worry about everything, because things will work out as they’re meant to, and stay busy during the daylight hours—save your chair for after dark.
CK’s family is now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye. Unfortunately, his life insurance policy was canceled when he turned 100, leaving no coverage to help with funeral expenses. As a small family, it’s hard for us to ask for help, but we want to honor CK with a comfortable place to rest and a small graveside service that reflects his remarkable life and service to our country.
We are reaching out to friends, neighbors, and anyone touched by CK’s story to help us provide the farewell he deserves. Any donation, no matter the size, will be deeply appreciated and will help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. Thank you for considering a gift to honor CK’s memory and support his family.
