Honor Charmaine William's Memory
To the community of Milwaukee, to any soul who can hear the raw, guttural cry of a parent’s grief…
It is with a heart shattered into a million pieces that I write to you today. August 6th. That date will forever be burned into my memory, not as a day on a calendar, but as the moment the light went out of our world. On that day, my beloved daughter, vibrant and full of life at just 29 years old, was stolen from us. Murdered.
Her name was Charmaine William .Her passion, her very breath, was her children. Four precious lives she nurtured, loved, and lived for. She was a mother in every fiber of her being, a fierce protector, a gentle guide, her dreams wrapped entirely around their futures. She deserved to see them grow, to witness their triumphs, to mend their scraped knees and broken hearts. She deserved so much more than the cruel hand dealt to her.
She was shot and killed. Due to road rage. A senseless, unfathomable act of violence that stole her from us in an instant. Her body, dropped in front of the very home where she created a haven for her babies. The horror of it rips through me every waking moment, every tortured dream.
This was not expected. There is no preparing for such a devastating blow, no saving for a funeral when life is brutally snatched away without warning. As we navigate this abyss of grief, we are humbly reaching out to the compassionate hearts of Milwaukee. We are asking for support, for any assistance you can offer, to help us lay our daughter to rest with the dignity she deserves. For her funeral arrangements, for her burial.
She will always be in our hearts. Forever. A mother of four, gone too soon, leaving an unfillable void. Please, if you can, help us honor her memory and provide her with the farewell she was so unjustly denied. Your kindness in this darkest hour would mean the world to a family broken by an unspeakable tragedy.
With a heavy, heavy heart,
