Honor Cathy's Memory: Support Her Final Wish

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

As some of you may have already heard, we recently lost a pillar in our family and a genuine light in this world. After a long and incredibly hard-fought battle with cancer, Cathy Wilkinson, who brought so much love, kindness, and humor into the lives of so many, has passed away. Cathy was an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend (you name it), and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. If you knew her, I'm sure you loved her, and I'm sure she loved you.

As the family comes to terms with her passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging her final farewell. We want to give her the dignified and heartfelt send-off she deserves. One of her final wishes was to be buried back here in Maryland near her family, and we've been lucky enough to secure a spot very close to her beloved grandparents.

We've created this GoFundMe for support in honoring Cathy’s memory and fulfilling her final wish. If you knew her, you'd know she would absolutely hate that I'm doing this, as she was never one to ask for help or burden anyone else, even though she would be the first to help someone else whenever she could. I just want to make sure we're giving her the send-off she deserves after such a rich life and long-fought battle. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow the family to focus on grieving and remembering her fondly.

All funds raised will go towards funeral expenses, such as plot fees, interment, and grave markers. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that Cathy is laid to rest with the dignity and respect she deserves.
