Dear friends, family, and community,

My name is Sarah Al-Aghawani, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during the most difficult time of my life. On June 26th, 2025 my beloved mother, Carla Borelli, passed away unexpectedly at home, leaving behind deep grief — and the full responsibility of planning her funeral, burial, and managing her very complicated estate in Milford Massachusetts which needs countless dumpsters to be rented and crews to be hired to get the estate situated — all of which I am facing alone as her only child.

Carla was a vibrant, loving soul who dedicated her life to music, faith, and community. She was a gifted teacher and choir director, a cherished cantor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford, and a beloved figure in the lives of countless students through her work at Our Lady of the Valley School, the Milford Public Schools, and even her kind presence at Target in Milford.

She was also a devoted cat mom to four beautiful cats, who were truly like her children. She loved them deeply, and they are now in need of care and a safe home in her absence.

I’m humbly asking for help to cover the costs of her funeral services, burial arrangements, and estate responsibilities. As her only daughter, I am doing everything I can to honor her memory — but I simply cannot afford the full financial burden on my own.

In her memory, a portion of any funds raised will be donated to the Milford Humane Society, to ensure her three cats are properly cared for, rehomed with love, and supported through their transition as well.
