Honor Carl Vernon Goodman Sr.'s Legacy

Donation protected
hi, I’m Carl Goodman. We are heartbroken to share the tragic loss of our Dad, Carl Vernon Goodman, Sr., who was tragically taken from us far too soon on January 3rd. He was a beacon of kindness and compassion, someone who always met you with a genuine smile and brought light to everyone he met. He was born on January 25, 1955. His 70th Birthday was this month. You've probably heard a story about the time he lived in California, a Dad joke or two, or how he helped weld a huge building we passed by. He especially had a big heart for his little cat, Baby, and he would leave every event early so he could get home to her. He had a big love for family and called his kids every single day. Even in his final moments, he exemplified the selflessness and love that defined his life. The ones with my father in his last moments really get what I mean.

In this time of unimaginable grief, because this tragedy was so unexpected, our family wasnt prepared for the financial burden that comes with laying my father to rest and honoring his memory. We are raising funds to cover the costs of his burial, headstone, casket and funeral home expenses. And also a celebration of life where family and friends can gather to share stories, reflect, and find comfort in the incredible legacy he left behind. My father’s wishes were to be layed next to his mother in hermitage, Missouri.

Carl gave so much to the world, and now we have an opportunity to give back by ensuring he is laid to rest with the dignity and love he deserves. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and help us honor his extraordinary life. I will have a breakdown of how all funds are spent. Money left over after all funeral expenses will also go to help the employees who spent the last moments of my father’s life with him. They have been thru a traumatic experience as well.

My father worked for minimal pay at 69yrs old washing dishes. If he didn’t need the money he wouldn’t have been there. Without any savings, retirement can be challenging. Despite not having much, he always gave his all to those he loved. He didnt have the chance to save much for the future, but he gave us something far more valuable-his love and wisdom.

Thank you for your support, your prayers, and for helping us celebrate the beautiful soul that was our Dad, Carl Vernon Goodman, Sr.
