Buster is in full DKA. He showed no signs of diabetes until it was too late. On Thursday, I found out that his body is failing him; his kidneys, pancreas, and electrolytes are too far gone to reverse, and humane euthanasia was suggested. The full cost to euthanize, cremate, and keep his ashes is $800.

I know Buster will soon be suffering past the point it is okay to keep him alive, but he is literally my everything.

When I turned 18 and aged out of foster care, I found Buster. Buster is my service animal and he is the only consistent family I have ever known. Our 12 years together have saved my life many times. I can't really imagine a world without him, and being able to keep his ashes would mean the world to me.
