Harper’s Hope: Building a Diabetes Care Center in Honor of Bruce Marks and Harper Gottlieb
Harper’s Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a comprehensive diabetes care center that will provide critical support, education, and medical resources for individuals living with type 1, type 2, adult, and pediatric diabetes. This initiative is inspired by the strength and resilience of Harper Gottlieb, daughter of Katie and Seth Gottlieb, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in March 2021, and the legacy of her grandfather, Bruce Marks, who dreamed of establishing a center in his granddaughter’s honor.
Bruce Marks passed away on February 1, 2025, before seeing his vision come to life, but his spirit and dedication to this cause will live on through Harper’s Hope. Throughout Harper’s journey, her family has faced the immense challenges of managing diabetes and has come to recognize the critical gaps in resources and support within their community. Harper’s Hope aims to fill these gaps by offering accessible and compassionate care to individuals and families navigating life with diabetes.
The Harper’s Hope Diabetes Care Center will serve as a beacon of support, providing medical care, educational programs, nutritional counseling, and emotional resources to empower those affected by diabetes. Through this initiative, we honor Bruce’s unwavering love for his granddaughter and Harper’s incredible strength, ensuring that no family has to face the challenges of diabetes alone.
Harper’s Hope is more than a care center—it is a tribute to resilience, a commitment to community, and a lasting legacy of love, from generation to generation.
