Following months of hospitalization, it saddens me to announce the passing of my dear friend and colleague, Dr. Bruce Tefft. Bruce was an honorable man who always elevated duty and country over self-interest. He was compassionate, caring, and considerate even on his final days.
Bruce put his life on the line for the well-being of future generations. Following retirement from an upper-level career with Central Intelligence (Chief of Station-Africa), he continued to serve America and protect our children by exposing existential threats to our homeland. In the wake of 9/11, he served as NYPD’s counter-terrorism advisor and trained over 21,000 law-enforcement officers and first responders. Together, Bruce and I were involved with humanitarian operations in the Balkans, on the African continent and in the Middle East. We were partnered for over 15 years and chartered a charitable organization to help / mentor the surviving children of our nation’s fallen heroes. Unfortunately, that mission fell victim to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Bruce’s professional accomplishments reflect the unwavering commitment and devotion he demonstrated in every aspect of his life. He was a loving husband, father to his beloved pets, and a selfless, stable presence in not only my life but to everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.
This campaign was initiated to contribute to his final expenses, including medical, to support his wife through such a challenging time. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
