Honor Brooks' Memory with a Proper Farewell
Donation protected
I am Steven Passer, the Step Father of Mariana Baxter. Mariana's father, Brooks, died suddenly on August 3. I got to know Brooks back in 2017. I was volunteered by Brook's ex (Connie) to help with Harvey clean-up at his home. Brooks was a friendly, chatty person with a great sense of humor. He was full of life, fun, and many diverse interests. We spent a very long and hot day together and then on occasion we met many other times. He even helped me with my dad last year. Brooks was a friend to all. He should not be forgotten and his family needs your assistance.
Brooks was Methodist but in our conversations, he was more of a spiritual person who had a good spirit. He loved his kittie, Vader, his f150 Truck and gaming and the Chayn's club. He raised an incredible daughter in Mariana and a lovely step-daughter, Crystal. Mariana has been saddled with a lot of responsibilities at the young age of 27. Brooks was just 53. She is a talented cosmetologist but does not make a lot of money. Her sister, Crystal, moved out of state and has her own issues to tend to. He did not have life insurance. I am concerned that Brooks can be given a proper send-off for those he left behind. He wanted a simple service he could be proud of. He was a kind, caring man. He was the type of person who would give anything to help others and often did so during Harvey or other Houston area tragedies. He volunteered in his community and worked to be a role model for many.
Now the family needs help and we are asking that you provide whatever you can in order to send Brooks to be back with his mother, his father, and other loved ones he lost along the way. We ask that you pray for Mariana and the family and that you help financially any way you possibly can. Every donation is appreciated and very much needed. May peace and safety be with you all.
