On August 16th, we lost a shining light in all of our lives. Brandi Ward never met a stranger and made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of encountering her. She was a fervent supporter of all those that surrounded her, whether you were a close friend or just an acquaintance. Knowing Brandi was a privilege - her selflessness and energy was infectious. Her determination and dedication is something that we can all only aspire to emulate. She was unabashed in her opinions, her love for others, and her urge to live life to the fullest. Whether it was to share her keen design sense with you or her screaming out song lyrics (correct lyrics or not) you always got the true authentic, unfiltered Brandi. She was a light of authenticity in a world that is often cloaked in what people believe you should be. She truly was Brandi at all times, take it or leave it, and as you can tell by the mass of those affected by her loss, she was worth taking in. She brought a light to all that she encountered.
Her loss has left an unfillable void in the lives of all those that knew her. While there is nothing we can do to fill that void, we can help keep her memory alive. One way to honor her legacy is by supporting the center of Brandi’s world - her beloved children, Kendall and Parker. As the finality of the situation set in, Brandi’s concern was not for herself but for the well being of them. If you have the means, I ask that you honor Brandi by preparing Kendall and Parker for their journey into adulthood through a contribution to their college fund, in lieu of flowers. Brandi always yearned to learn more and conquer any challenges that were in her way. Your contribution will make this challenge just a bit easier for Kendall and Parker. The Ward family appreciates your support whether that be emotional or financial. May we all live our lives with the same energy and love that Brandi did; she truly was a light that will shine on forever in all of us that were lucky enough to have been graced by her existence.
