Honor Boogie's Memory with Love

Donation protected
To our community and friends,

Sweet Boogie, once the mayor of Venice and Mar Vista in his early years, and the retired sheriff of the Dog Bowl in his later years in West Adams, experienced a sudden and heartbreaking seizure due to a brain tumor discovered on Wednesday, November 5th. He is currently resting comfortably on medication and surrounded by love.

Our beloved friend will be leaving this earthly world on Saturday night, November 8th, at 9 PM. When I visited to give Boogie his last kisses, Jon and Shannon shared their heartfelt wish for an at-home euthanasia, so their sweet Boogie baby could pass peacefully in the comfort of his home, held by his loving family. The cost of that service has thankfully been covered, but the cremation and return of his ashes remain an expense we’re hoping to ease for them.

If Boogie has ever touched your heart in any way over the past 17 beautiful years, please consider donating whatever you can to help bring his ashes home to Jon and Shannon. Should the funds exceed the cost, the remaining amount will go toward something special in Boogie’s memory, a lasting tribute we can gift to his loving parents.

For transparency here are the costs:
$700 Ashes returned to Jon and Shannon
$200+ Memorial Box for Boogie’s ashes and two custom gifts for Jon and Shannon to have Boogie with them wherever they go.

Thank you for helping us honor this beautiful wagging tailed soul who gave so much light, laughter, and love to everyone lucky enough to know him.

❤️
With love and gratitude,
June
