Honor Bob Bayless: Support His Retirement Gift
Donation protected
Robert “Bob” Bayless joined the United States Navy during the Civil War and began his career as a Corpsman rendering aid to the first ever USMC division. This FMF pipe hitter then became an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician and successfully preformed a render safe procedure onboard the USS Monitor during its battle with the Merrimack. Decades of service later Bob was promoted 9 times, fought countless wars on various continents and left an inspiring presence on all in which served with. All old jokes aside, EODMU11 is raising funds for a regiment gift for this awesome leader, friend and mentor to many. Bob is likely to simply toss a smoke grenade out, collect his DD214 and retire covertly as the quiet professional that he is. Any funds left over from the goal will be placed on the bar tab, and if by any chance anything, and I mean ANYTHING, is left, the money will be donated to a charity of Bobs choosing.
