It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Benjamin Hernandez. Though his life wasn’t easy, he faced every challenge with strength, humor, and an adventurous spirit that inspired everyone who knew him.

Ben was a quadriplegic, but he never let that define or limit him. He lived life to the fullest, seeing and doing more than most ever will. He had an incredible love for the outdoors and a special place in his heart for Colorado’s mountains. Even when he couldn’t join in on hikes himself, he would drive his family and friends all around the state just so we could experience the beauty he cherished. That’s the kind of person he was: generous, full of joy, and always ready to help anyone in need.
