Honor Audrey McRae with a Memorial Headstone
Donation protected
Hello! If you're reading this you probably already know me. My name is Chris Stacy and I'm doing this gofundme to raise money for a headstone for my dear late friend Audrey McRae or "Aud" as most people called her.
Audrey passed away two years ago in San Francisco. Her remains were flown back to her home town of Charlotte, NC. It was really a surprise to everyone because you could not find anyone more full of life than Aud. She was loved by so many and touched so many lives. Anyone who knew Audrey has a great story about her. She lived life to the fullest and followed and successfully fulfilled her dream of becoming a Chef. She loved to make people happy and making them delicious food was just one way she accomplished that. Her unabashed love and kindness for friends both old and new was another way. She was a ball of energy and love and as loyal and loving as anyone could ever be. To say I miss her and others miss her would be an understatement. The world is quieter and in many ways less bright without her.
This gofundme is to get Audrey a headstone for her grave. Her grieving family a month after her loss also lost one of Aud's amazing nephews. Really too much for any family to have to go through. Not only emotionally but obviously financially. If you've ever had to pay for a funeral you understand how expensive it can be. Her loving family was working towards getting a headstone but with this gofundme we can help and take the burden off them. They've done so much and lost so much I think it's the least we can do.
Audrey's amazing sister Yvette Cargill has already found someone to make the head stone and place it on Audrey's grave. The design will show this picture of Audrey ( a higher resolution image though) in her Chef's uniform, her happy place, and read, "Chef Audrey "Aud" McRae" with the dates of her amazing life at the bottom.
Please donate if you can! Any little bit helps us reach our goal of $1200. This cost will cover everything and will finally give her family a chance to honor their amazing sister as they have wanted to. Her sister's Yvette Cargill and Laverne McRae Beazer have already done so much and been through so much let's take this last thing off their plate by getting Aud the tombstone her family and she deserves.
Please help if you can! Any amount will be much appreciated and go directly to Yvette for the cost of the headstone.
Thank you!
