The Heart of Andrew Scholarship Foundation was created in loving memory of Andrew Joseph Klazon, who lived one precious week and bravely battled Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and Major Aortopulmonary Collateral Arteries (TOF with MAPCAs). Inspired by the extraordinary care and compassion shown by healthcare professionals during Andrew’s time in the hospital, our mission is to spread awareness of congenital heart defects (CHD) and support the next generation of caregivers—especially nursing students whose dedication makes a profound difference for families like ours.

This year, as Andrew’s first birthday approaches on May 28, 2026, we are launching our first scholarship in his honor. Through scholarships and community initiatives, we strive to create a lasting impact that reflects the unwavering dedication shown to Andrew during his brief but meaningful life. By investing in the education of future nurses and healthcare providers, we hope to ensure that every patient receives the same level of compassion and care that Andrew experienced.
