This has been a coordinated effort of friends, family and the Sucuri family that loves and cares for Steve and his direct family. All who knew Steve can say without hesitation that he truly was a great person who's smile will forever be in our memories. We all had the opportunity to enjoy his company and his talents.

From his Sucuri family, Krystle was the one person that truly had the opportunity to know him and care for him the most, these are her words:

I write this with a heavy heart, the world lost a special person and things might never be the same at least for the foreseeable future. I’m saddened by the unexpected loss of my friend Steve Renteria. 

Steve lost his life tragically to a heart condition this month, leaving behind a community of friends and family. He was just 39 years old.

His family lost their rock, brother, son, best friend, and father. Steve brought joy to everyone he knew and had a way of making you believe in yourself, like you never thought possible. I know he will continue to live on in these memories and stories for a long time to come.

Steve’s greatest joy and accomplishment were his three daughters, Estrella, Alicia and Chica. I remember our days at T-Mobile where he carried a photo of them in his badge on the sales floor as his inspiration to succeed. Everything he did, was to provide a wonderful life full of loving memories for them and that’s just what he did. Steve was defined by being a father to his girls and I want to ensure his goals of having them see great success in life continue.
