Honor and Celebrate Kristi's Life and Memory

Hello! My name is Brianna, and it is with a heavy heart that I am posting this GoFundMe for my grandmother, Kristi Knight.

Many people know my grandmother to be insanely smart, fiercely strong and immensely protective for the ones she holds in her heart. Life is not easy for anyone, but my grandmother has had more than her fair share of trials and tribulations over the decades. Despite this, she has created a beautiful life for herself, and established her legacy with her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, with her children, me and my sister Kiara, and Kiara's 3 beautiful girls, Kristi's GREAT grandchildren!

It is with great pain and sadness, that I must say my grandmother has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and is not expected to walk on this Earth, with her beloved family and friends, for much longer. This news has left my family in complete shock--I know these sorts of things are never expected or planned for; but it really does feel like the wind is knocked out of all of us since we received this news.

While being emotionally unprepared for such news, our family is even more so unprepared financially. Honoring my grandmother's wishes to not have a funeral, she wants her remains to be cremated so her very close family and friends can have keepsakes of her to carry with them while they carry on with her in their hearts.

My grandmother, and her family, are turning to you, for help in this endeavor. Every cent donated is going toward my grandmother's Experience--her cremation, and sentimental and heartfelt redesign for her chosen beloved friends and family. Whatever that is donated that is not given right back in this way is going toward the (abundant ) fees associated with "dying in the US of A" (her words.)

I know that I am speaking to people who love my grandmother almost as fiercely as she loves you right back. My grandmother has been a huge part of my life since I was born, she has informed my core in a lot of ways and I feel that a lot of my heart and hers are cut from the same cloth. Saying that, I will conclude with saying that this is an incredibly difficult situation for our family, and knowing that there is a network of people out there who have had my grandma in their hearts so deeply, for so long, gives me incredible hope and optimism for the future of my family and I. Thank you, we love you too.
