Hi, my name is Ruby Boucher. My sister Alicia Casey, a.k.a. Sissy, lost her long battle to substance abuse disorder yesterday. After going into cardiac arrest multiple times, she was med flighted to UMass Worcester and placed on life support for lack of oxygen to her brain, heart, lungs, and kidneys. CT scan came back with no brain activity and she would not respond to any stimuli. With my 3 other older sisters and her son by her side, we removed life support at 9:10pm last night and she transitioned at 9:17pm. She no longer has to suffer. She is free from all her pain. God has her now. I’m sure she was greeted with open arms by our Poppy, Auntie, her best friend Jen Johnson, and more. She was so loved by all who were privileged enough to know her. It is a very difficult time for her son, our mom, my three other sisters and I, and the rest of our family. As you could imagine, funerals and services are expensive. To help take some of the weight off all of our shoulders as we grieve, I am creating this in hopes anyone who can help, donates. Addiction is a monster. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. Help us lay my beautiful big sister to rest. We love you so much Sissy…Until we meet again.
