At almost 101 years old, our Nana, Anna Fretz, is still full of life—making people laugh, offering comfort, and caring for others the way she always has. ❤️
Right now, we’re facing something really difficult.
Nana may lose the safe, loving home she’s in due to the cost of her assisted living care. As the widow of a World War II veteran, we truly believed she would be supported through the survivor aid benefit, but she was denied, leaving us in a tough position.
She is in a beautiful, small private assistive living home where she is treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine love—and we are doing everything we can to keep her there, as the state-run facilities in her area are often crowded and understaffed.
She currently has about 4-5 months of funds remaining for her care. We are hoping to raise $25,000 to help cover the gap and extend her ability to stay in the home she loves while we continue to appeal the VA's decision-if approved those benefits may be retroactive.
Nana has always given so much to others. Now it’s our turn to give back to her in a way that truly impacts her life.
We’ve created a GoFundMe to help cover her living expenses and keep her in the place she feels safe and cared for.
If you’re able to donate, we are incredibly grateful. If not, sharing this post would mean the world to our family.
Thank you for helping us give Nana the comfort and dignity she deserves.
Love,
The Fretz Family
