On April 9, 2025, my father, Paul Wade, passed away at home in Aurora, Colorado. He was 60 years old. His heart, his life, and his service touched more people than he probably ever realized.
Paul lived a life of quiet strength and unwavering dedication—to his country, to his work, to the people he loved. He served in the U.S. Military for 15 years, including during the Persian Gulf War, and later continued his service as a federal government employee. He was honored nationally for his work, but the real impact he made was personal—one person, one act of kindness at a time.
He was a hunter, a teacher, a storyteller, a man who found joy in reloading, cooking meals for others, and helping people without ever needing the spotlight. He taught me what it means to live with humility and integrity—not through lectures, but through his actions.
Now, as I navigate the unexpected and difficult responsibilities that come with his passing, I’m reaching out for support to help carry the weight he left behind—just as he carried so much for others throughout his life.
Your donations will help with:
- Final arrangements to honor his life and service
- Legal and administrative fees related to closing out his affairs
- Ongoing essential expenses, such as the mortgage, that need to be covered during this transition period until all affairs are settled
If you knew my dad, you know he was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back. Even in passing, I want to reflect that spirit. Any funds remaining after final expenses will be donated to causes that mattered deeply to him—because he lived to give.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me honor his memory with the dignity, care, and love he so deeply deserved.
—Ryan
