Honkers from Hell: Sunny's Escape Plan

Hi folks!

I'm Sunny, a queer transmasc from the south. I've updated this fundraiser a lot, slowly shifting the fund amount as I learn my goals and updating the story details to try and cut to the chase (I'm a yapper). So, if you notice things keep changing, I'm just trying to make this more straightforward.

I recently attended a top surgery consultation (7/1/25) and, if you know me, you know I have yearned so loudly for this for ages now you're probably about ready for me to just get these things off already! My surgeon of choice, Dr. CV Cheggireddy at Aesthera Plastic Surgery told me upon entering the exam room that gender affirming procedures were his favorite procedures to do. An instant weight fell off my shoulders. Now to get the extra weight off my chest!

Dr. CV and Patient Coordinator Morgan provided me with a quote for service and, well... it's about what I expected: more than I can afford. I checked Cherry and Care Credit to see if I could finance something like this and was denied by both due to my current credit score. I feel at a loss, I hate turning to other people for money, especially when we're all feeling the economic turmoil, but there's just not any way I can think of right now to acquire these funds without you.

I'm asking for 10k, final answer. My procedure will be around 9.2k and I'll need extra funds for board for a week as well as to purchase the pain medications the Dr will prescribe me. Thankfully, the funds I've already received went straight to my consultation and the trip there! If you've already donated, thank you so much. I'll be traveling from Thomasville to Atlanta and staying in ATL for a week to minimize traveling before my first post-op appointment. My car will of course need gas on the way there and back as well as for future follow up post-op appointments during the first 6-8 weeks of recovery

-Post-op care and recovery needs

I'll need pain meds and a large reading pillow so I can sleep upright (swelling), but I anticipate the pain meds being costly on account of my not having insurance

Times are tough, and I know we’re all feeling it. I know that absolutely not a single person reading this owes me anything, but if you’re able to support me in any way I would be endlessly grateful. Even a simple share of the link to this post helps immensely more than you can imagine.

I'm increasingly more afraid of posting this GFM as I often receive a couple of nasty messages right after sharing it from bitter transphobes who hate to see a trans person trying to achieve better for themselves.
