Honey rescued from a house fire
Tax deductible
Our rescue family has suffered the unthinkable. What every pet parent dreads....a house fire and your beloved pets are inside. On Xmas Eve, while the family was (thankfully) out of the house celebrating at the in-laws, their house caught on fire with 3 cats inside. This family had rescued 3 beautiful babies from us… Honey, Naruto, and Woodstock. All 3 rescued off the streets as kittens and lucky enough to have found an amazing home. Well, Naruto did not make it. Woodstock is missing, but the fire was on the first floor and he was on the second floor so we’re hoping that when the family can re-enter the home he will be found safe. Honey was lucky to run out the door when the firefighters opened the front door. A good Samaritan neighbor took him to Hoboken VEG and we were able to pick him up without paying the bill. I will post the final bill, which is about $2800. The last thing this family needs to worry about is a vet bill. I know it’s the holidays, but this family has endured so much. Please any amount helps. I will continue to post updates. He is with one of our volunteers as the family secures housing. However, they are currently visiting him at the volunteer's house and she said he immediately perked up. He looked so excited to see them! We are hopeful for a full recovery. Prayers are needed for Woodstock. RIP Naruto. You were loved and will be missed immensely.
