Wow, so much has happened in the past six months! We would love to share some of the special details with you. Our story is a story of our God's Sovereign Grace...
In 2016, Isaiah opened up his home to host a home group Bible study for his local church congregation to come and fellowship at and share about how the Lord was working in each of their lives. Little did he know, God was about to work in Isaiah's life in a very new and big way as well...
In January of 2017, Tamera and her three kids moved back home to Lompoc from New Hampshire. The first Sunday after arriving, Tamera started looking for a home Bible study group to be a part of. After finding a home group listed in the church congregation's bulletin, Tamera decided to visit the study group for the first time on January 27th...that study group happened to be Isaiah's.
After sixteen years of praying and seeking the Lord for the "right one", God brought Tamera right to Isaiah's front door that January evening as they both were seeking the Lord.
Tamera continued going to the studies and they both enjoyed sharing within the group from God's precious word. Tamera and Isaiah began sharing more one on one together through writing to each other about the Lord and reading in the word together. They also snuck away for a walk or to visit the coast and beauty of God's creation as time allowed. The relationship deepened and both felt the Lord calling each to the other...
By God's sovereign grace, Tamera and Isaiah now have a deep love and respect for each other in every way, grounded in the love of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Isaiah officially asked Tamera to be his lifelong helpmate and wife on May 26th, 2017 while sitting and enjoying the view at the beach together at Pismo State Beach.
She said......... "Yes, absolutely YES!" :-D
God has worked in an amazing way not only by preparing Tamera and Isaiah's hearts to be knit together in love and marriage, but also in preparing Isaiah in every way to embrace fatherhood. Caden, Logan and Kaity totally and completely love Isaiah just as much as he loves them. God had already given Isaiah a heart for children and it is awesome to see how God has worked to bring the five together as a family.
Tamera and Isaiah are planning their private and intimately small wedding ceremony as they start their life together on July 7th, 2017.
In the midst of all the wedding planning, they are also opening up a Menchie's Frozen Yogurt franchise store in Arroyo Grande (a dream of Isaiah's) as Isaiah continues to work full time at Raytheon. Tamera is preparing to take her real estate state license exam soon, as well as help the kids' prepare for their enrollment and new educational adventure at Trivium Charter School... Sooooo, needless to say, they will be pretty busy through the summer months as they start their lives together, and they welcome your prayers!
As a result, we are planning our official honeymoon get-away to the Hawaiian Islands in the fall of 2017.
In lieu of gifts for our wedding celebration, we would much appreciate contributions to our special getaway together.
