Hi my name is Marnie and I am setting up this fundraiser for my dear friends Honey August and her husband and family. On Friday, August 18, 2023, they experienced the devasting effects of the fire in Shushwaps community of Squilax te secwepemculewc reserve and have lost their home and everything in it including over 1000 books, art, hunting and preserving gear, freezers full of food and so many tools. They were able to save their cats but unfortunately nothing else. They have been building their home with their love sweat blood prayers and tears with many ecofriendly options, but it was uninsured because it was nonconforming. They are safe, but their family is in seperate places right now. This fundraiser will be the beginning to rebuild there life together and give them strength with our prayers, love and support.
