Chère Communauté Panafricaine, chers amis du bout du monde et famille de Folly

Têko,

Au nom du groupe « Synergie et Action », nous vous annonçons aujourd'hui avec un cœur

meurtri la subite disparition de notre cher et unique regretté Folly Têko, constatée le 17 Octobre 2023 en Hollande.

Il nous a été difficile d'admettre la nouvelle de cette perte immense que nous avons reçue tel un coup de massue sur la tête. Tous ceux qui avaient eu la chance de côtoyer Folly savent comme il était unique! Sa mort inopportune nous a laissé un sentiment de perte

et de confusion, et nous sommes certains que chacun d’entre vous ne peut non plus s’empêcher de

penser à tous les merveilleux moments que nous avons partagés avec lui, son combat pour le panafricanisme, la rigueur de ses approches, ses joutes verbales, sa passion pour la recherche approfondie

et la connaissance, et à quel point il va le manquer.

En plus de notre chagrin, vous savez que certaines préoccupations pratiques, comme les frais funéraires doivent être réglés, surtout dans ces circonstances inattendues. Et croyez-nous ces frais sont assez intimidants pour ses proches.

Nous venons solliciter humblement votre générosité pour contribuer dans le mesure du possible à ces dépenses qui s'additionnent certainement. Vos pensées et prières signifieraient tout autant pour nous ses amis et collaborateurs, ses trois enfants, dont les plus jeunes sont de 4 et 8 ans,

sa mère, son père, ses frères et sœurs, sa partenaire et toute la grande famille qu’il a laissée derrière.

Folly était un autodidacte panafricain passionné et indéboulonnable pour la cause d’une

Afrique unie, libre, décomplexée et prospère. Une Afrique debout et fière. Et pour faire sa part dans ce combat, Il était armé de science jusqu’aux dents pour emprunter les termes de l’illustre Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop. Il était leader d’opinion, entrepreneur,

agitateur, polyglotte, artiste musicien, auteur, acteur, webmaster... Il voulait tout apprendre, tout savoir, pour tout donner parce qu'il était tout autant généreux. Il ne vivait que pour ce grand rêve là, Il y avait mis tout sa petite fortune, son corps et son âme, dans cette bataille.

Aidez-nous à lui rendre un vibrant et mérité hommage pour le don qu'il nous a fait de son génie, qui continuera à hausser l'Afrique à travers ses oeuvres!

Dear Pan-African Community, dear friends from around the world and family of Folly

Teko,

On behalf of the “Synergie et Action” group, we announce to you today with a heart

bruised, the sudden death of our dear and only late Folly Têko, noted on October 17, 2023 in Nederlands.

It was difficult for us to accept the news of this immense loss which we received like a blow to the head. Anyone who had the chance to know Folly knows how unique he was! His untimely death left us with a sense of loss and confusion, and we are sure that each of you cannot help but think of all the wonderful moments we shared with him, his fight for Pan-Africanism, the rigor of his approaches, his verbal jousts, his passion for in-depth research

and knowledge, and how much he/she will miss him.

Beyond our grief, you know that certain practical concerns, such as funeral expenses, must be addressed, especially in these unexpected circumstances. And believe us, these costs are quite intimidating for his family.

We humbly ask for your generosity to contribute as much as possible to these expenses which certainly add up. Your thoughts and prayers would mean just as much to us as his friends and collaborators, his three children, the youngest of whom are 4 and 8 years old,

his mother, his father, his brothers and sisters, his partner and the large family he left behind.

Folly was a passionate and unwavering Pan-African autodidact for the cause of

Africa unity, free, unapologetic and prosperous. An Africa that stands tall and proud. And to do his part in this fight, he was armed to the teeth with science, to borrow the words of the illustrious Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop. He was an opinion leader, entrepreneur,

agitator, polyglot, artist musician, author, actor, webmaster... He wanted to learn everything, know everything, to give it all back because he was just as generous. He only lived for this big dream. He had put all his little fortune, his body and his soul into this battle.

Help us to pay him a vibrant and deserved tribute for the gift he gave us of his genius, which will continue to elevate Africa through times!
