In the 3 months of trying to find work, the unthinkable has happened.  My mom has had a stroke, in hospital and I need to get to Vancouver.  For me to go to Vancouver it means I am not looking for work in Edmonton.  I am one of those folks right now that does not qualify for any kind of government assistance, and have ran through my savings.   I did not think things could get any worse and of course they did. I am a proud person known to have the helping hand and I now find myself in need of asking for help.  In order to maintain my home, the continued care of my fur babies and get to Vancouver to help my mom in her transition, I am trying to raise $3,000 to cover the costs of  getting me to Vancouver and my expenses in Edmonton.  It is a humbling experience to ask for help but I would do anything for my mom.  Any financial support would be received with love and gratitude.
