A Brewery is Coming to Town - Downtown Park Rapids

Let's face it, Park Rapids needs some life brought back into it. Specifically, Main Street. Those who live in Park Rapids, spend their summers here, or visit once a year spend time on our charming street — where we park in the middle of the road!
For all the above there's something to look forward to… beer! As local and hometown as beer can get. Yes, we’re bringing a brewery to the streets! Main Street. And we need your help.
Revel Brewing will offer a variety of craft brews from pilsners to stouts to IPAs, all in the convenient location of downtown Park Rapids. Dylon & Katie Deschene, the founders of Revel Brewing, have been crafting beer for over 10 years. While living in Colorado, they enjoyed the opportunity of touring several micro and nano breweries. Both Dylon & Katie fell in love with the atmosphere, the culture, and the variety of craft beverages. They decided to try their luck at home brewing after tasting an old family beer recipe. A simple home brewing kit with a 5 gallon steel pot quickly escalated into a quarter barrel (16 gallon), all-grain pilot brewing system. To their advantage, many friends and relatives volunteered to sample the brews and even lend a helping hand when needed. They decided to move back home to Minnesota in 2017, but couldn’t help but miss the atmosphere and convenience of a local brew. After their 10 years of brewing and hosting at home, they decided to share their passion and favorite hobby with the community.
"We are planning to purchase a building in the heart of Main Street. We are looking forward to working with local farmers and other providers in the area, supporting and strengthening the community as a whole by purchasing ingredients and supplies. We'd like to use these funds to ensure that the location and sustainable brewing system can allow the local residents, as well as our much appreciated visitors to celebrate, enjoy and Revel with us. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
As with any new business, this venture is expensive and timely. Katie and Dylon are tasked with buying equipment, remodeling a building, and perfecting their brewing processes. All of these expenses out of their own pockets to fulfill a dream! If you don't know the Deschenes, you should! They are a local, young family that is active in the community — the perfect entrepreneurs for Main Street!

Depending on funding, Revel Brewing plans to have a soft opening this fall (many of us would like to see it open the 4th of July so let's donate!).
