Home-Start East Surrey - Run Reigate

Our wonderful runners are very kindly running either a 5k, 10k, or a half-marathon for us to support local children!

The funds raised from the event will help Home-Start East Surrey raise the vital £200,000 we need every year to continue our vital work helping local families to overcome difficulties and support them to become the best parents they can be.

This includes our weekly volunteer home visiting service, but also our additional group support, which enables us to reach more families who need us. Groups like ours work with parents with mental health issues, particularly in the post-natal period, in our nurture group, our two stay & play sessions for invited families with young children in Dorking and Horley, and our universal 10 week parenting courses.

Like many charities, it’s been a tough few years for Home-Start East Surrey with the pandemic, which has resulted in less funds being raised, and available charitable grants becoming more competitive, therefore resulting in less support for the families we look after who so desperately need it.
