Hi, my name is Laura, and I am from the UK. I am raising funds to support families in Marrakesh and the surrounding villages who are still living in tents nearly two years after the earthquake destroyed their homes.

I have been lucky enough to visit Morocco, and in that time I fell in love with the country and its people. I’ve made friends there who have shown me the warmth, generosity, and resilience of Moroccan communities. But it breaks my heart to know that while huge stadiums are being built, many earthquake survivors — including children and the elderly — are still in tents, facing unbearable summers and freezing winters. No family should have to live like this.

My first goal is to provide urgent necessities such as food, clean water, warm clothing, blankets, and school supplies for children. If this goal is reached, I would love to go further and contribute towards building safe and permanent homes, so these families can finally have the security and dignity they deserve.
