I am a former uniformed government personnel who went overseas to work, and it breaks my heart to watch from afar as my hometown in La Carlota City, Philippines suffers from the devastation of Super Typhoon Tino ( Super Typhoon Kalmaegi). The situation is beyond what anyone could have prepared for.

The flooding rose above human height, leaving many people missing, injured, or forced to cling to rooftops to survive. Entire communities have lost everything — homes destroyed, livelihoods gone, and thousands of families now starting again from zero. There is still no clean water, no food, no electricity, and the local government cannot reach everyone in time.

As an OFW, I can’t be there physically, but I refuse to do nothing. I am raising funds to buy relief goods, food packs, drinking water, hygiene items, and other basic necessities for the victims. I will make sure the donations are used directly and transparently to reach as many families as possible, not just in my city but in other affected areas in the region.

Even a small amount can help feed a family who has lost everything.
