Homer's Heroes for FIV Cats
Donation protected
Marmalade is a senior FIV+ kitty who's lived his whole life with his human mom and dad. Unfortunately, Marmalade's elderly dad is suffering from Alzheimer's dementia. Their home is no longer a safe environment for Marmalade. Eventually, Marmalade's dad will go to a long-term care facility. For now, Marmalade's heartbroken mom has been unable to find a no-kill shelter to take Marmalade, and rightfully fears that he would be euthanized quickly in an open-intake shelter.
Luci and S'mores are also senior FIV+ kitties. Their human mom is in her 70s, and is relocating from NJ to TX to find an independent-living facility closer to her family--one that will also allow her to bring her cats to live with her. For now, though, she can't find friends, family, or a no-kill shelter to take them.
Seer Farms is an AMAZING rescue sanctuary that provides long-term care for the pets of families in crisis, with the goal of eventually reuniting the pets with their families. They will take all 3 cats for as long as needed--and will be responsible for all food, medical care, etc.--but they need our help!
It's frightening to think about, but the truth is that any one of us is only one catastrophe away from not being able to care for our cats. If that day ever comes, we'll want someone like Seer Farms to give us a hand--and for people like Homer's Heroes to make that possible. Please help these families, and give these sweet senior kitties the chance to live the rest of their lives with the only families they've ever known.
