I'm Shane, I'm 29 years old, and I just moved out of a domestic violence shelter. I started dating a girl I met there, we just left and moved into a place locally. We both started jobs, and we're currently just trying to get safe and stable. Though, our main goal is to ultimately move out of the south and go to somewhere like Seattle or Chicago. At the time I'm writing this, I tested positive for COVID 30 minutes ago, my girlfriend tested positive 3 days ago.

The last week has been one of the hardest of my life. We dealt with having to leave the domestic violence shelter very suddenly. Moving our stuff multiple times. Finding a room to move into at a friend's place. And both of us getting covid. All during the first week of our new jobs, and while still getting to know each other. 

We really need all the help we can get. I can not describe how difficult and exhausting everything has been for both of us. But despite everything, we are working hard and have been making a lot of accomplishments.
