Homeless Woman Raising Money For Cheap Car

Donation protected
*UPDATE 2*
Hello again! I wanted to let those who donated to see the Suburban that I was trying to acquire. As you can see by the new picture, I have purchased it. It had issues going on with it (A/C, timing) but they have finally been fixed.
I still need to get insurance, a new title, inspection sticker and new plates. Both are way out of date. Plus, the never ending need for gas.
I hope you can help with these extra expenses. Thank you in advance! Your donations are greatly appreciated.

*UPDATE*
I would like to thank everyone who donated and/or shared the link and my story. I am grateful beyond words and, honestly, a little surprised and overwhelmed by the response. As you can see, I have surpassed my goal. I have enough in the funds to purchase the car as soon as the funds are transferred to my bank account. It takes 2-5 business days for each donation to transfer. I am, however, regretting that I didn’t make my goal a little higher. As a couple of friends have pointed out, I will still have to get insurance for the car and pay for the title, etc. I hope that others reading this will donate to help me pay for these extras. I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart. Last week, I thought all hope was lost for my Bella and I. You all have given me so much hope for a brighter future. Thank you! Thank you!

Hello, my name is Kristi. I am homeless and I’m hoping to raise money for a car that was offered to me by an auto repair shop owner for $2500.
For the past couple of years I had been living in my car. The reasons why aren’t important. I’ll just say that, before I became homeless, I was a 4th grade teacher. Things happened that were out of my control and quickly spiraled downhill.
I have a dog, a Lab mix, that I adopted two years before everything happened. I have done my best to keep her happy and healthy. She comes first! With a little help from a few friends and a local animal shelter I have been able to do just that.
I have tried hard to secure employment. However, I have had no such luck. To make matters worse, my health has greatly deteriorated from living in my car and I can no longer work a regular job. I am still searching for something I can do remotely. However, the vast majority of such jobs require the use of a laptop, of which, I no longer have.
Yesterday, my situation became much worse. My car completely died on me. The owner of an auto repair shop, whom I’ve come to know over the past few years, told me that the engine is completely shot. He told me of a car that he was working on but the owner passed away before the repairs were done. The owners adult children left the car with him. He has offered to sell me the car for $2500.
Over the past two years, I have survived with the help of a few friends and a family member. However, they cannot help with the cost of the car. Times are hard for them, too.
My dog and I are currently staying in a motel for three nights, a gift from a friend, while I try to come up with the money for the car. After this, we have nowhere else to go.
I hope you can find it in your heart to help my Bella and I. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
